Add My Dog(s) / Cat(s)

On a Mobile Device
  1. Tap the More icon in the bottom right corner
  2. Tap Pets
  3. Tap the + icon in the top right corner
  4. Click Go to upload a photo from your device or to take a new photo
  5. To upload an existing photo, click on the photo boxes (bottom right)
  6. To take a new photo, use the Bark Button (bottom left) to get your dogs/cats attention, click the Photo Button. Make sure to focus on your dogs/cats face
  7. To retake the photo, click Back in the top left corner

On the Web
  1. Click the Paw/+ thumbnail at the top of the menu on the left
  2. Tap the + icon in the top right corner
  3. Click on the Choose File button to navigate to an existing photo
  4. Click Go

Photo Tips
  • The best photo is one of your dogs/cats face
  • The face should be as close to the center of the image as possible
  • The face should be upright and looking straight forward if possible
  • Only the dog/cat should be in the image
  • Pick a photo that does not have other animals in it
  • Pick a photo that does not have a person's face in it
  • Use the zoom features to bring the dogs/cats face close
  • Use a high quality image if possible

The following steps are the same on mobile devices and the web
Adjust the photo
  1. Click on the photo to move it so that the eyes are lined up with the line across 
  2. Click Next in the top right corner
  3. Place a circle on each eye and the triangle on the nose
  4. Click Next in the top right corner, the photo will then be scanned

Enter your dogs information
  1. Pet Type: Click on either Dog or Cat
  2. Pet’s Name: (i.e. Buddy)
  3. Shorter Name: (i.e. nick name like Bud)
  4. Primary Breed:  This defaults to the Dog Breed List.  Click on the Cat button to display the Cat Breed List.
  5. Tip: Select what the dog/cat looks like primarily if mixed
  6. Tip: Type the breed name in the Search Breeds field to navigate quickly
  7. Tip: If unsure, click Mutt/Mixed
  8. Secondary Breed (if mixed): Follow the same steps above
  9. Sex - Identify the dogs/cats gender
  10. Age - Click to open options - Enter birth date if known.  If unknown, click the Age button and use the sliders to identify Years and / or Months of age.  Click Done to the right of the Age button.
  11. The age will display as Approximately at the bottom
  12. Microchipped? - Identify if the dog/cat is microchipped
  13. Click Done in the top right corner
